Counselling and Psychotherapy
for Individuals or Couples
in Sheffield, S11 (Sharrow Vale)
People seek therapy for different reasons. Often it is because they feel stuck, stressed, overwhelmed or hurt.
You might be struggling with a relationship, coping with stress or hoping to change a behaviour that is not working for you. Perhaps you are in the midst of a crisis, looking for resolution around a particular issue, feeling stuck or dissatisfied with life, or in need of a safe space where you can unburden your thoughts and feelings.
My belief Is that most of the emotional wounds we live with have been endured within the context of a relationship; whether that be with family, friends, romantic partners, employers, religious organisations, society or the state. It takes a relationship to address these wounds and this is the principle behind Relational Psychotherapy. I am not a "blank screen" or an aloof observer, as often therapists may be depicted in film or literature, but will be actively involved as a co-researcher in the shared project of "what is wrong, and we how do we resolve it?"
When things are difficult, a face to face appointment with a psychotherapist in Sheffield can support you and help you to grow in whichever way is right for you.
I won't tell you what to do, but I will help you to find a way forward for yourself and support you through the process of change.
Please take a look through my website and get in touch if you'd like to arrange an initial session, either in person, online or on the phone.
